Where to Mount a Carbon Monoxide Detector in an RV

There are several suitable locations you can install your carbon monoxide detector in your RV. These places include on the ceilings, above floors, far from children, and away from walls. The carbon monoxide detector should not be placed in a moist or dirty area of your RV.

For example, if your RV has room for 4 or more people to sleep, you need a 12V carbon monoxide detector. However, if you have a smaller RV that only sleeps 2 to 3 people, a 9V carbon monoxide detector is enough.
